RaiderAid

A Mass Communication Emergency Alert System

Introduction

RaiderAid is Lindsey Wilson College’s mass notification emergency alert system.

Before RaiderAid was developed, notifying the campus community was a manual procedure. First responders would alert the campus by posting information on the LWC app which would send an emergency alert to all students with the app on their phone. Additionally, Public Relations would be notified to manage the social media posts.

RaiderAid now automates messaging to these channels at the time the alert is raised. In addition, RaiderAid adds SMS texting and notifications to www.lindsey.edu and myLWC.
